Laura Mayes

Laura is the Managing Director of our Norwest Office in Sydney. Over her five years in the finance broking sector, Laura has worked for St George, ANZ, Freedom Property, Lending Association and TrailBlazer Finance before starting her own broking business LJ Finance Capital. During this journey, she has received key industry recognition and last year was a NSW finalist in the Outstanding Young Business Leader awards. As a broker, Laura has gained experience in residential loans, commercial loans, self-managed super fund (SMSF) loans, investment and owner-occupied loans as well as mortgage trail book sales and acquisitions. She believes her best qualities as a broker are having strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring everything is accurate and efficient, and being passionate about building relationships with clients and referral partners to foster trust and long-term connections. Laura loves spending quality time with her three children and reminding them of the importance of being kind and generous. She is the treasurer at her children’s school and believes deeply in giving back to the community. In 2024, she supported the Cancer Council through ‘Dancing with the Stars” fundraising activities as well as cutting off and donating 12 inches of her hair to support a close friend battling cancer.
